Location Location Location...

Usually when people are asking me what I'm using to "Catch the big one" I'll chatter about bait al day long and they'll just reply saying they have no luck with those, or ugh I hate those they suck.
It's a pretty simple concept its not what you use, its where you use it. If your trying to fish under a bridge that has a busy ass highway goin over in you ain't gonna have that much luck. The simple vibrations from trucks and whatever other crap is driving over you will translate threw the support into the water. The only think you'll ba catching is a shit tonne of rock bass or sunfish (no one likes comming home with sunfish)
Instead of focusing on what your fishing with go for location. I've caught musky with cigarette buts, bass with bits of as hot dog. Go to places that our civilization has not yet ruined and throw a line and see what you get. The farther away you go the better. Also your fish won't taste like junk.
Algonquin park has incredible fishing. Go find a lake that has a ban against motor boats you will be catching 6 lb bass ever 10 min. Prime example of this is Sec Lake on the northern boundary of the park, it's a big lake big weed beds and incredibly clear water, fish the rock wall on the far side.
Soon I will be posting an updated list of spots near northern Ontario with location and species. This list will be the places that most people can't get to. It'll be for the die hard up at 4:45 on water by 5:00 fishermen.
